A/C Blower Motor bogs down and stops
I've seen a lot of posts for ac problems but can't seem to find one that I am experiencing. I have a 2008 Q7 and the A/C, especially when it's hot outside, will bog down (you can here the blower slowing down, quite loud) and then stop. After a while, or the next day, it seems to work fine.
I've removed the blower, cleaned and lubricated the motor. Worked fine for a couple of months but a small "chirping" sound was intermittent during that time.
I am thinking I should replace the blower motor, but after reading some of the past posts, could it be the resistor or another issue?
I am leaning toward replacing the blower but don't want to be stuck with the same problem later on.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Mike I am experiencing the same problem but I cant seem to find any help. Did you find anything on this issue? Please let me know if you can before I go to the dealer and spend thousands of $$$. I have actually replaced the resistor but it hasn't fixed the issue. I am tempted to replace the blower but I want to know if that is the real problem.

I ordered a non OEM blower assembly on eBay and replaced the blower. It's been a couple of months and everything is good. Part was only $125...inexpensive repair. YouTube can walk you through the removal and replacement of the blower. Good luck!

Blower replacement
I have the same issue with the Q7 - slow decline in fan speed and a moaning whining sound. I ordered a replacement part and wondered where you all found the install help on youtube? I have had little luck on finding a DIY video...
