We have a 2013 Q7 with dual moonroofs. We are about to go on a trip. I have a rooftop bag carrier from a prior car. It sits on the roof rather than something that is attached to the crossbars (so it's not a cargo "box" like one of those Curt carriers with the steel black rails). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's OK if I used this on top of the glass roof (and never open the moonroof, of course). My dealer said no, but it might want to sell me a cargo carrier accessories, which are amazingly expensive for the Q7. I already have to get the cross bars to fit to the rails, which aren't cheap. If I can't get put the nylon carrier right on the glass roof, I'll have to get rails and a basket carrier. Thanks!
