Hi everyone, I am new to this forum but not new to the great joy of driving a Q7 (you can appreciate the magnificence of this vehicle after getting used to driving a volvo and a windstar)

I believe that this question has been asked before but I have not found a straight answer yet.

My question is: Is the arm rest cd player removable and be replaced with another system (a system that recognises ipods or just a port to connect them or other devices) without the need of a fm radio transmiter (it is what I have right now and is a pain in the... neck when there is an interference in the middle of Petrucci's solo ).

If there is no replacement other than to be violated at the Audi dealer buying/install the AMI (I dont mind installing myself, I have done many works like this before) then I would like to know if its possible to extract the cd player so the space could be used for storage.
