Hi all. First post. Any thoughts or comments on the following much appreciated...
My 2016 Q7 is at a main dealer in UK for a service. They have sent me an "Audi Cam" video where they talk me through the tyre treads, etc., and pointed out that the rear suspension coil springs are broken and need replacing. Here is a still from the vid:
OK. Even I, with my very limited car knowledge, can see that this looks like an issue that needs to be fixed. Happy & grateful they have noticed this and brought it to my attention.
But my issue/question is that the quote for repair says: "Suspension - both rear coil spring broken MOT FAIL. Require new with the seals: £962.88".
£963 to replace two metal springs!? I don't know what's involved in the work, but sounds ridiculously expensive to me, even by main dealer standards .... am I wrong? What's the business in the quote about the seals ... I'm not seeing any seals involved, just metal springs ... am I missing something?
