RE: What do you think of the Q7?
We have suffered minivans for the past 11 years we've had kids. We were so excited that the Q7 was coming, because unlike the Cayenne, Touareg, and X5, it had a third row of seats. When The Q7 arrived at the dealer,a rep.brought one to our home for us to test drive. It was so beautiful, we were ready to call him a cab. Unfortunately an idiot designed the third row seating. We drove it back to the dealer and returned home in our new Mercedes-Benz R350.We took a two year lease... We're still hoping.

You've got to make choices based on your needs. I agree with jpjdds regarding the design of the rear seats. Fortunately for my me, I rarely require the use of a rear seat and when I do, I ask the middle row passengers to move their seats forward which helps some.
Other than that, I love mine.

I love our new Q7, except for the navigation. I own a portable Garmin that is much better. The map data in the Q7 is outdated and cannot search by names. For example, as a test, I searched for a gas station near our house. It took us into a cul-de-sac and announced that we had arrived at the gas station. In addition, Our house is 2+ years old and the street it's on isn't searchable on this nav, but it is on my Garmin. Other than that, the power and handling of this SUV doesn't resemble any SUV I've driven. It's more like a sports car with seating for 7. If there was a way to update the nav software to include searches by keyword/name and updated mapping software, then I would love it that much more.
