Default [[[oil pump]]]???

..Does anyone know how difficult it is to change the OIL pump in a 2002 TT..?? and where is it...?? In the oil pan..?? external..?? any pics of the TASK at hand...Car oil sensor came on yesterday and now the car is startin to TAP and the OIL is FULL....

Before you get to involved here... drop the pan and take a look at the oil pickup. If its all sludged up, you're not gonna be getting much oil, and it'll trip the warning.

Oh okay..So..?? can I just clean the screen with some brake clean..?? cause I have heard about the SLUDGE problem in the past 2 hours of researchin..

that'll probably do the trick. You'll see what you're working with once you have the pan off. Pretty straightforward

sludge? Can be... its sorta mileage/maintenance dependent. Higher mileage cars that haven't had the oil changed as often as it should will build up some crud.

Regardless of mileage, it doesn't hurt to run a bit of seafoam in the oil every few oil changes to knock the junk loose.

Add the stuff a couple hundred miles before you're ready to change the oil and let it work its magic.
