Default [newb] TT Quattro questions

sorry for these n00b questions, but i just went from ricer to german car owner. i wanted to know a few things...

alrite, jus got a 2001 Audi TT Quattro and it's a 5 speed. unfortunately it wasnt the 225hp/207 ft-lbs.tq spec. since they come 6 speed. whatever though, the 180hp/170ft-lbs. tq beats my 190hp/130 ft-lbs. tq

also about rims/tires. what's the measurement on the threading of the bolts? (have old rims from my 02 celica, was 5 x 100 bolt circle).
^ and what about lugnuts? any spec. measurements? (12 x 1.50 for most toyota's)

lets see... pretty excited to start modding after 1-year warranty... but
- anyone experience voiding their warranty with mods/rims?

Engine
- I always wondered, does Audi have a performance division? (i.e. - Toyota > TRD. Nissan > Nismo.)
^ i kept my celicas TRD'

- how are BoV's on the TT, can they even be mounted? i loved hearing my 91' celica spool and blow off (3s-gte swap). do BoV's hurt performance like the imprezas?

- What are the top modding companies for Audi (TT spec.)? (CAI, Exhaust, Suspension, body-kits, ECU's, etc.)

that's all for now.

Ok well first off all welcome to the great world of the TT. here are some answers to your questions but remember that the search site is great for finding what others have done also.

bolt pattern 5x100 for the TT

Engine peformance

Chips (which are going to give you the best bang for your buck) are GIAC, APR, REVO and I think there are a few more but thats about the major ones

BOV not gona happen on a TT sry but if you wanted to hear a BOV you should of kept ur "skittle" aka ricer you will want a new Divertion Valve which once you add a intake you will be able to hear it alittle. (it works like the imprenza)

sites to check out are;

Modshack
TTstuff
ecstuning
goapr

other than that if you have a specific question just ask or research it and you will find alot of owners have asked the same thing

or if you got have noise, get the forge splitter (vents a small % of the air to atmosphere rather than back to the engine, comp can compensate/is fine with that small change). b4 you get anything, make sure its totally up to date with maintenance, with that done get a boost gauge installed so you have some window to your cars performance prior to changing it. no point in chipping if your not holding boost for example.
