Hi guys...I just bought a 2001 audi TT quattro and I love it. Its a great car and it runs great. I have a couple questions about it though, and since you guys seem to have the knowlege, maybe you can help me out.

1. My car has 17" Borbet Rims. I think they are the exact same size as the stock rims, but when i am slowing down, somewhere between 15-20 mph it sounds almost like the tires are rubbing against the wheel wells. Its weird, it only does it in that MPH range. It doesnt affect the handling or performance, but I am curious why this might be happening. Any thoughts?

2. I just filled it up yesterday and I gave it 93 octane. Is that what most people are using, or do you use 92, 91, or 89?

3. Does anyone have any advice or anything I should know that I dont already. I am a new audi driver.

These questions might sound a little dumb, but help me out. I appreciate everything.

 

1. are you sure they aren't just noisy tires? what kind are they?

2. inside your gas cap it says 91+.

3. if you're past 60k and it hasn't been done yet, look into changing the timing belt.

 

I think they might just be loud tires. I was thinking that originally but I didnt think anymore into it. Ill check what kind they are. Thanks.
