Default 1.8T vs 3.2

I now have 100,000 plus miles of experience with my 1.8T 2002 TT Quattro and am considering moving up to a newer model. I must say that i really love this car. It is my daily driver and I commute 3 times a month 250 miles one way across the IN/OH Turnpike, year round. I have only opted for my Avalanche a hand full of times over the last several years. With good tires and well maintained the car is excellent.
I'm pretty familiar with the 1.8T issues, ie timing belt, tensioner, water pump, ignition coils, dash lights, etc but have no knowledge whatsoever with the 3.2, DSG or later body style.
Any info on the early body 3.2 with DSG or the later body would be appreciated.
I'm currently looking at a 2005 3.2 with DSG, very low mileage and a 2008 with a 6 spd. Both Quattro of course.
Thanks
Bob D

Got a 2005 3.2 with DSG. No issues at all. I love the sound of the motor and the responsiveness of the DSG. I have kept mine well maintained and added coilovers recently. Looks great dropped an inch or so and handles much better. Got a remap as well not really worth $400 but I paid $200 so it was ok.

You should go to this website: http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/

There are loads of V6ers in the UK. Lots of good info.

Good Luck
