1" drop anyone?
my eibach coilovers are going on tomorrow. i only orderd the 1/2 kmac for now, so i can get a feel for how low im going to want it. Ive got the 18" super sevens. im wondering if 1" is a very signifigant drop? any of you guys have a shot of what it will lool like?
good. i just want to tighten things up a little bit. i hate the bumpy bullshit roads here. once i get my panzer plate i will drop it more. i think if a car is dialed in correctly, you really shouldnt notice that its been lowered. im on the other coast homie. practcality over throwing sparks
nice, what size are those bbs wheels in the picture? 18?
Even with only a 1" drop you might want to consider full KMAC instead of just the 1/2. I have a 1" drop and ended up needing the full because my camber was a little more out of spec than an alignment with a 1/2 KMAC kit would allow. I started out with a 1/2 KMAC and ended up buying another 1/2 KMAC kit a few months later.
I barely put a thought to camber anymore, a little more doesn't hurt. Its all about toe. Little to no toe, and your tires aren't fighting each other (causing wear), better turn in (for front toe), and in the rear you can use it to get the rear to rotate a little.
Negative toe (which is what cars have stock) makes the car wanna track straight, working toward positive toe, where you'd have to fight the car to make it drive straight (its always gonna wanna turn one way or the other). Gotta find the sweet spot where its responsive, but not erratic.
(more toe in the rear is good for a RWD to keep it from trying to hang the rear out sideways every time you spin the tires) (same for fronts in an FWD)
