I have a 02 225 quattro and a friend was looking at getting I think its an 01 180 quattro. Whats the biggest differences between them? Both being 1.8T is it mostly just tuning or are the internals different?

covered in the faq, but yeah, diff internals, 2 intercoolers on the 225, 180 only has a 5 speed... bunch of things

biggest differences though the 225 has a larger turbo, internal components are slightly different, 225 has a 6-speed gear box, the 225 has twin intercoolers compared to the 180 having 1, and the 225 comes with 2.5" dual exhaust stock

 

i have a 180 and has a 6 speed tiptronic. ? or are you talking 180 manual only comes 5 speed??

180 has 1 tailpipe and 225 has 2...

180 drivers = sexier as well

 

225 stock exhaust is not 2.5 its around 2.25 maybe even tad smaller when i put my blueflame on(2.75) HUGE difference

 

i was looking at blueflame too...did you notice any gains? i went on a website and heard a TTQ 225 with that system and it sounded amazing

 

ya it sounds very nice im debating going with the 42draft DP cuz i might go BT very soon still debating it since i store it during the winter

 

the 225 is a 2.55" exhaust....it has a ko4 turbo...injectors are different...stock software different...6 speend manual...dual exhaust...the spoiler...downpipe is different...
