180 and 225 engine Block, the same?
hello, look, my 225 audi TT engine block has a tiny crack made by the oil pump chain, does anyonw know if i can replace it with a 180 hp engine block? i know there are some diferences between them, but, is the engine block one of them?

You can swap the block with any 1.8t from a Transverse Audi or VW. The 225 has some minor differences (speaking cast block, not internals) but nothing that makes it any better than the rest of them. Everything will transfer over. All other info is in the FAQ

I have a 2001 180 quattro that the engine is shot. Someone is selling an engine from 225 model. Can I use the 225 block and head and swap everything over from the 180, intake exhaust, etc...?
