18's or 19's?

I went 18x8's and I believe they are 5-6lbs lighter than stock but the tires were all aboutone lbmore. Heres my car not lowered (obviously.)

diehlryan, that's the cleanest one i've seen yet. Those rims look great. Again could benefit from a drop but still looks good. What's the tires you got on there?

Also 19's don't equal slowness (depends really on what you are trying to accomplish). There is always a trade off. At first it may take more energy to move the larger diameter rim but it takes less energy to substain it.
You would have to take a hug amount of weight off 19's compared to 17's to have them even comparable.

Example: My lancer with stock 15's my car was about .3-4sec faster in the 1/4 with 195 width tires over my 18's that weighed 3-5lbs overall less than the 15's and had far better tires (stock yokahamas vs toyo t1-s) and 225 width tires
