Well, supposedly next year the 2.0T 6spd will be available in s-line format with quattroand power raised to 260hp. Dealership had a list sheet from Audi USA, so I went ahead andnowhave a smalldeposit on one.

Keep it and keep playing with it. I won't be modding the new one until after the warranty is up, and then only if it held up fine during that period. I have an APR turbo kit and a Wilwood BBKsitting in the garage that I have been too lazy to throw onfor the 2001 so far. Maybe even strip it out some and make it more of a track car than a daily driver after I get the new one. Too much work and school right now though so everytime I have some free time I would rather just relax or go for a drive up the mountains.

*edit* and thanks Ray. Hoping it will be as good as I am imagining asI have only thus far test drove the 3.2 Quattro and 2.0T fwd versions. Interior is very nice too, a step up in the luxury department from the MK1's.

if i were you i would go easy on the mods for the mk1 and try to sell the ones you have after the warranty is up... then sell the mk1 and put that towards the mk2... im sure you could get a lot of money off your tt now and once the warranty would be up on the new one then youd have like 15k or so to drop into it... that makes sense right?

Base, I am unsure. With the options theaudi sales manageris expecting it to come out near 48k.

As far as the other car, no plans to sell. I would rather have fun with it; although if I did sell it I would likely invest in a used Elise or Atom type vehicle again. Money is always an issue, but in this case it is not a limiting factor unless life for some reason throws me a few nasty curve ***** (has been know to happen, but fairly rare.)
