Default 2 Little-known mods?

Ooh, looks like I got your attention, eh?

Alright, first of all -- has anyone had any experience using an N-tercooler system from Nitrous Xpress? It can utilize either N02 or C02, and it seems like, with all this talk about water sprays and such, most TT owners could find a place for this. Anyone thought about wrapping a coil or two of copper rings with a few misters around or in front of their cone filter? Check the system out here...

Also, how about anyone who has had experience with the Phenolic spacer?

It would seem that these two mods, ESPECIALLY in conjunction with each other and a shielded cold air intake, could allow extreme temperature drops and therefore a huge performance improvement for us TT owners...

What do you guys think? (I'm going to give it a go, anywho).

I will look into the Cry02 system; my point is just that these two mods together can make a huge difference in cooling (so it would seem).

I looked at this before but why not just use the nitrous in the fuel instead. You still have to get the whole setup either way and Im pretty sure you get more HP from it in the fuel.

As I'm sure you know, this is FAR more dangerous for your motor than cooling off the air that's coming in... I'll be using C02, anyway. I'm talking about an alternative to an I/C / Intake misting spray.

ha, guess not so little known.

Intercooler misting, whether it be water, or N2/CO2 has been around a while. If you're driving in hot conditions, or really pushing your intercooler, its gonna help. Its probably just going to be a bunch of work, IMO, for your average, 'spirited' driving. The intake spacer on the other hand. Go for it. Maintainance free, and you'll def. see gains. I'm gonna eventually try to machine my own, I just need to get a chunk of phenolic, and some time on a mill.

Eh, for $120, I'll just bite the bullet and have someone else make them for me ;P
