Take it for a test drive and try to talk him down a bit, request a carfax as well. Otherwise looks like a decent deal.

$12K is a good price! But you'd be absolutely nuts to paint it just to change the color; if the paint is goodbut you can't live with thecolor then keep looking. You'd cannot get anywhere near a factory-quality job for $2K; I don't care who you know or who you're related to. Ever priced materials? I painted my wheels recently; primer + Dupont Centari, hardeneter, etc., etc = $97 for one quart of primer + 1 quart of color.

Yea, like the color isnt too fashionable but you would be too crazy to paint they whole thing... i repainted my bmw to the same color, just fixing scratches and rust and it was 3k... not even the whole car, to do an entire call a new color would cost you more than just looking for one with a better color that may be a little more pricy...itll save ya

???? Audi uses the same paint application as any other auto maker as far as i know...with an intigrated clear and one coat clear...... we had our 68 camaro (which isa show car) 3 coats midnight black....with 4 coats clearwet sanded and polished for 2000.00 and i guarentee it looks10x better then any factory audi black paint job. Orange peel and over spray depend on how skilled the person is your bringing your car to.

Audi's paint process is over 17 layers, if I'm not mistaken...
