Default 2001 Audi TT For Sale (needs work)

Beautiful, silver metalic, convertible, Audi TT Roadster (fully loaded) in excellent physical condition for sale. Engine broke down (might need new engine due to valve breakdown)...other than that, excellent for mechanically inclined person to fix.....car was my "baby" until my baby was born and now need a bigger car....have decided not to fix.

Blue book is currently about $12K....I will take reasonable $6K OBO.

Please e-mail me at booieooie@yahoo.com and I will provide pictures, VIN, etc.

Yeah, but for $6k it should go quickly.

If I had the $$ i'd pick it up as a project. But I have too many projects, so no $$.

Good luck.

I have serious doubts that this car was maintained at all. He didn't bother to do his timing belt and Lord only knows what else he didn't bother to do on the car. He doesn't even seem to know if it is a 180 or a 225. I wouldn't touch the car if it is was $3500.

Are you serious?!
Dude, you could part it out and double what you paid for it. If the body is in good condition, you could sell the doors, and body pieces for a good $2500 alone. I wouldn't buy it for a project, but if I had a roadster... I might get it for obscure OEM parts

I talked to the guy via email - he's out in Ca, or I would get it and put a new engine in it. For 6k, you could toss in a new engine for 2k. =/

I don't think I'd part it unless it had other dmg. Chances are - the owner had it maintained as far as oil / brakes. The haldex may or may not have been done, and obviously the TB went - but that isnt all that uncommon to hear about around here. :-)

I think it'd be a great project car for someone looking to play around (3.2 Project car anyone?)
