Default 2001 TT ABS Speed Sensor

Need help to understand whether there is more than 1 abs sensor (found on the front driver side) or is there more than one sensor (ex 1 one each wheel)? Is it easy to replace / install?I would like to try to do it my self if it is relatively easy to do rather than pony up the $ to a dealer / garage.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

From my understanding on ABS systems there should be 1 on each wheel. They should be fairly easy to replace.

It's easy. One per wheel (ie: traction control).

inspect, and possibly clean (only takes a shot of high pressure air from a compressor) before you go right to replacing.

The sensor itself is magnetic, and will pick up metallic road debris over time. If it builds up too much, it clouds the sensors ability to work properly, which will make your ABS act up.

There is in fact 4 sensors, one per wheel.

Okay, do these sensors have anything to do with the Speedometer? (Speed Sensor).
Because my Speedo just died and I got a yellow Warning Light come on that Says "SENSOR" More then likely it is something different but since you guys know about sensors could one of you let me know where this speed sensor would be located and if it is something I can replace?

Thank you!

Tom

These do not control the Speedometer, they are for ABS ONLY.

Does anyone have instructions on how to do the replacement?
Is there way to know which of the 4 need replacing?
