Default 2003 TT Extended Waranty

I am considering buying a 2003 TT Coupe Automatic. The dealer offers an extended warranty thru "Preferred Warranties Inc" Has anyone had experience with this warranty company? Thanks.

if i were you i wouldn't buy an extended warranty through the dealership personaly. They will offer you something like an extra 25 bucks more a month on your payment and it sounds good but you have to think about how much they are getting from you in the long run. If your gonna pay the car off in 2-5 years then your $600-$1500 without interest. But they make more money off you cause you pay interest on it. I can send you to a guy that will get you an extended warranty on your car, i just got mine for $1500 ($150 down, and $114 a month for one year NO INTEREST) Its a better deal considering that you can pay it off when you want and that your only paying what they tell you to pay up front. Let me know if your interested and ill shoot you their information.

Also my warranty was for an extra 100k/5 years bumper to bumper coverage! Yes!

I have an easy care plan on my TT. I didn't purchase the plan, but the dude who had the car before me did. I got the warranty with 2 years, 20k miles left on it for free. It works ok. Some places don't want to deal with aftermarket warrantys, so it is a bit a hassle. It also already saved me $1000 on two cracked rims and a cluster when I ever get around to brining the TT to the shop.

The TT is $$$ to repair, the warranty may be a good idea if the car hasa lot of miles or you don't want unexpected costs, or can't repair it yourself. If you are somewhat handy, I wouldn't get the warranty.
