Exclamation 2004 Audi TT quattro...Timing Belt or Chain?!

Hi, I'm hopefully finalizing the purchase of a 2004 Audi TT quattro roadster 3.2l 250hp V6 tomorrow, and I can find nothing in the literature about whether this model has a timing BELT or a timing CHAIN. Can anyone help? Thanks!

timing chain in the 3.2. timing belt in the 1.8.

FWIW, get a bentley service manual. about 65 on amazon. best investment ever despite it not being the best written shop manual ever...but it is the best TT manual. covers all early TTs 2000-06.

cheers.
