Hi Dale, thanks. Now in the process of stripping the front of the car... just to get a bolt back into the back of the manifold. This has been such a learning experience for me and I'm loving every second of it. I can't wait to get her up and going!

If you're going to be doing your own maintenance, even just some, spend the cash for the Audi TT service manual, 2000-2006. Not the best manual ever written, but best for the TT.

Audi OEM owners manuals are equally expensive and are published by Bentley too. I believe you can save some money by buying them direct from bentley rather than the dealer. Sometimes they pop-up on ebay too.

cheers

Thanks. Had to strip the whole front of the car yesterday, cradle and all... just to put a bolt into the back of the manifold cover (didn't want to struggle and put it in skew). Cleaned the ports etc and put it back together - just battling with the oil cooler thingy that clips on to the bumper. But fingers crossed that it all goes on smoothly and that she starts. Found that 3 of her ignition coils belong in a VW Tourag - no wonder she was running like a tractor - bought 3 new ones plus plugs and lets see....! thanks for everyone's help. Just need to find a way to keep my manicure looking good - this oil is a pain to get off!
