Hi,

Just taken my wifes TT to the Audi dealer in Dubai for its 45,000km service. The car is 09 2.0T DSG, Soft top and has done 37,000kilometers, however had been 12 months since last dealer service so had it done early.

Dealer is Al Naboodah Audi in Dubai, UAE

They told me on drop off (before seeing the car) the timing belt should be changed. The quoted me 690USD including labour.

Would really appreciated some help from those more informed than me.

1) Does it really need changing this early with no signs of a problem
2) Is the price quoted reasonable or should I talk to other local audi specialists.

If it needs doing I am more than happy to pay however this dealer has a bit of a rep for fleecing people.
