225 Fuel Pressure Regulator

RE: 225 Fuel Pressure Regulator
It may certainly be different for the diode mod, but just the extra boost does not neccistate a higer pressure fpr. I have a GIAC'd 225 and was expressly adivsed to not upgrade the fpr or n75. I get that the remap is based on working with stock components, and that yemv, but if you are not running lean, why spend the money to replace something thats not broken. I guess what I would advise is to get a a/f gauge, there are several options, including a snazzy digital one that i think cincy has, it can also do exhaust temp and other functions (this is not the efu). I would love to get one but just blew like 1200 on suspension components [X(]

Yup, the TT has a 3bar FPR and unless your mods require it then I would just leave it alone.
I have the REVO Stage II Tune which required the 4bar FPR but that is the only reason I switched.
Also if you have a Modshack **** it also requires the 4bar.

Has anyone heard anything like what the shop is telling me or are they just blowing smoke?

RE: 225 Fuel Pressure Regulator
Alright I just called the shop to see if I would get a different answer.....
I only asked do you carry the Revo stage 2. He said yes but when he asked what car/model, he said....."You don't need it". He continued on saying the Revo stage 2 is stage 1 for the 225 andthe car comes with a 4bar FPR, stock.

They do show it in the REVO Sales Book and also list the requirement for it. Which were Aftermarket intake, 3 inch downpipe and aftermarket cat back, 4bar FPR
and a FMIC is also recommended but not a 100% requirement. The shop I got tuned wouldn't upgrade my tuning until I had the 42 DD downpipe installed. They did
finally did it and said that if I get a FMIC they would fine tune it a little bit more at no charge. I am sure that you already have the Stage II programming and if you have their
Interface you can probably fine tune the car yourself. I have the old SPS3 switch but will probably sell it and get their new more fine tunable interface.

RE: 225 Fuel Pressure Regulator
I was under the same impression...the FPR is a 3bar. Maybe it is the same person I spoke to a few months back, who knows. Ithink I will order the recommendednew FPR from ECS and pick up a SPS. Ididn't grab a SPS at the time of the flash, spent the money on anew DV (a Samco which I later ditched for a splitter)at their shop during the install.I already have turboback, intake and FMIC so no worries there. Bye bye $400!
