Default 225hp Audi TT modifications

Hello. My plan is to modify my girlfriend’s Audi TT. It has 225hp in stock and first plan is to make it about 300hp. Reason is to make it faster on circuit and on drag race lane but still it has to remain easy to drive in traffic.
So I would like to hear what you think about modifications I’m planning to do and what else should I do (or what have you done) [ul][*]Coilover kit Koni -45mm – I can’t use lowering springs because sometimes we need to drive on bit bumpy road and in winter.[*]Chiptuning +54hp[*]Bigger front mounted intercooler – I think it would not give me some advantages on turbo lag but cut down on pipes and I think it looks visually lot better as well.[*]Better oil cooling – to the passenger side of old intercooler place I’m planning to place oilcooler because now it is under the car and I’m afraid to hurt it if I hit something on the road and it doesn’t seem to cool it enough[*]Air intake – to the driver side of old intercooler place I’m planning to build cold air intake by Apexi dry air filter and intake hose.[*]Powerflex polyurethane suspension bushes[*]Metal by-pass[*]Stronger wastegate spring[*]Turbotimer, gauges etc
[/ul] I think that I’ll keep original clutch since it lasts. What to do with original fuel pump and injectors? Block and other things should abide up to 400hp. But I don’t know what I should do with the exhaust pipe. Should I replace it with 2.5-3’’ exhaust or is it enough to take only catalysators or resonator away (and replace them with sport and metal ones)? So, at first my main plan is to make engine tougher and to work more easily. I know that some day I’ll make it more powerful so I don’t want to build any bottlenecks to further modifications.

So, any successions?
PS: I'm from Northern Europe so we don't have here all same Brands sold

Well someone can correct me if im wrong but your prob looking @ 30-40 hp range with the tuning....Andpossibly 50 with a 100 octain tune. As far as exhaust ive always been the advocate of bigger is better....If you run a 3" down pipe make use of it and run a full 3 " exhaust.

a turbo timer isn't necessary, because the 225's have one.
as for exhaust, bigger is indeed better, but if you keep the stock turbo 2.5 inches should be fine. if you want you can have a 3 inch downpipe with a 2.5 inch cat-back.

Hello. My plan is to modify my girlfriend’s Audi TT. It has 225hp in stock and first plan is to make it about 300hp (crank or whp?). Reason is to make it faster on circuit and on drag race lane but still it has to remain easy to drive in traffic.
So I would like to hear what you think about modifications I’m planning to do and what else should I do (or what have you done)
[ul][*]Coilover kit Koni -45mm – I can’t use lowering springs because sometimes we need to drive on bit bumpy road and in winter.[*]Chiptuning +54hp - standalone maybe, but not with a chip. even on race gas no.[*]Bigger front mounted intercooler – I think it would not give me some advantages on turbo lag but cut down on pipes and I think it looks visually lot better as well. - the stock intercoolers get heat soaked after a chip, most good kits have little to know pressure drop or increase in lag, a good fmic would actually flow better than the dual sides.[*]Better oil cooling – to the passenger side of old intercooler place I’m planning to place oilcooler because now it is under the car and I’m afraid to hurt it if I hit something on the road and it doesn’t seem to cool it enough -once you get a fmic you can use the side vent for a oilcooler to get air. You can also make life easier and just run a passat/a4 large oil filter. The car can then hold ~6qrts of oil. This would let it cool more then ~5.[*]Air intake – to the driver side of old intercooler place I’m planning to build cold air intake by Apexi dry air filter and intake hose. the intake wont add to much so dont spend to much here[*]Powerflex polyurethane suspension bushes - good idea[*]Metal by-pass - you will deffinatly need a better dv. [*]Stronger wastegate spring - the stock wastegate is an internal diaphram. You can add tension but you will kill the turbo faster, MUCH FASTER. A boost controller would do the same thing and give you REAL control over boost.[*]Turbotimer, gauges etc - Turbo timer isnt really needed but gauges really are.[*]Water meth injection - this will give you ~20whp on a stock turbo.[/ul]I think that I’ll keep original clutch since it lasts (doubt it, keep it until it does). What to do with original fuel pump and injectors? - fuel pump you may want to upgrade, but if your keeping the stock turbo, the injectors are more than enough. at most you would need a 4bar fpr. Block and other things should abide up to 400hp (your kidda dreaming, what turbo?). But I don’t know what I should do with the exhaust pipe. Should I replace it with 2.5-3’’ (3") exhaust or is it enough to take only catalysators or resonator away (and replace them with sport and metal ones(stock pipe is ~2.15")? So, at first my main plan is to make engine tougher and to work more easily. I know that some day I’ll make it more powerful so I don’t want to build any bottlenecks to further modifications (most you will need is stronger rods if you get a bigger turbo).

So, any successions?
PS: I'm from Northern Europe so we don't have here all same Brands sold (many companies will ship to you. boostfactory.net should)

Well, I have planned to use SuperChip chiptuning... they say that it will add 54hp... let's see, if it doesn' t I 'll look for standalone: http://www.superchips.co.uk
By adding stronger WG spring I ment that chip will increase boost but I'm afraid that spring wouln't keep it and start to leak so there won't be any help for extra boost
So far I've searched and I have fount that 400hp TT needs new turbo, standalone, injectors, exhaust etc. Block, rods, pistons and other main components seem to stand for that power. Last year they built 400hp TT here in my town.. let's see how long this thing works.

The R1 valve is not metal, Its just a regular diaphram valve with a lifetime replacement.
