Default 3.2 Cost?

Here's my future plans. To swap out the 1.8T & drop a 3.2 then bolt together a turbo. How much for a 3.2 engine runs about right now? What problems might I run into? Where do I look for a 3.2? Thanks.

....because there is more potential in the VR6 in the long run. That isn't to say the 1.8T isn't potent for how small it is. But a F/I VR6 would be sweet!

3.2 weighs 373lbs, that i found, the 1.8T, dunno, but 'less' is probably a correct answer. ; )

This is just like saying "my car is an auto and im going to swap a manual in". You would be much better off selling your tt and buying a new one with the vr6.

I don't see it that way I like a vr6 & love a 1.8t but a vr6t would just make me cream myself. Suprized I'm not getting any love outta a 3.2 swap...

I personally would keep the 1.8t and either stroke it and/or build the head to rev. The added displacement will make a spooling far better and if you build the head, lag doesnt matter since you will have plenty of revs to fully use a large turbo. If you are not looking for more than 500-600whp, a 2.0-2.2l 1.8t will be a great choice.

BTW, i just moved on Mon and on the 730mile trip with me and my GF in the car and it packed to the gills, i still managed 33mpg on the trip down. I dont know the total weight, but it was enough to make the suspension make very bad noises

I had thought about doing a 3.2 swap but a BT kit just seemed easier it might be cheaper for you to trade in for the 3.2 TT and then turbo it. If I had space for tolls and parts I would love to start with a bare 3.2 block and build it up over time to exactly what I want I did this in highschool with my 56 chevy truck/454 big block. Good luck if you decide to do this

Yeah, I also perfer the 3.2, but just couldn't afford one. Great engine, but prob not worth the $$$ to swap.
