i have had the esp light come on when I accelerate hard, i have a FWD 180. I'm pretty sure mine does it b/c it is actually engaging the stability control in order to keep the car in check. The car will flash the light at you when the ESP engaes. As for the ABS....got me...

I have the ABS and ESP light problem too. It just happens every now and again - i can't relate it to speed or acceleration. It often seems to happen once I've been driving for about 15 minutes. I don't notice any change in the car other than the lights on the dash. Took it to Audi and asked them to check it out when I had it serviced. They couldn't find the fault and told me to come back when the lights were on . . . not that helpful. . . any ideas ? ?

If the car is loosing traction this is standard. If not it sounds like the ESP sensor is taking a dump on ya.
