AEB vs. AMU

RE: AEB vs. AMU
i wish i had a dyno and a week off. heres something i've thought about, that i've never heard discussed. Small ports flow air faster. That increases bottom end. We have small engines.. bottom end, and whats getting your turbo spooling is important. Big ports are nice when you're moving a ton of air w/ a big turbo, but a turbo can overcome the restrictions of smaller ports, so short of just trying to make big HP numbers, is a big port head really an improvement?
I'd say torque is more important than Hp.

RE: AEB vs. AMU
The AEB is a 97-99.5 A4/passat engine with a different block
The small vs large port shows a huge gain with cars in the high 300whp+ with just a head swap. The large port flows far more cfm which makes hp. The differences in the head is the ports, the big port also has much larger runners from intake to the valves and the small port has a lip just before the valves to increase velocity. The small is better for stock and low hp cars and the large is better for high hp cars
