Default Air Pump Hose

Well I installed a boost gauge, put in the Forge splitter and installed a new intake. Everything was going fine until I went to hook the air pump hose to the heat shield of the intake.......I pulled up andout came the air pump hose. I jacked the car up looked underneath, touched the other air pump hose and that one broke too, both at the clamp that hold them in place. I went to NAPA and grabbed some heater hose shoved it into the existing hoses and clamped both sides down. Is there a lot of pressure going thru these hoses what do you folks think of this fix?

For those with a chipped 225.....the splitter valve, I turned it about 13 clicks clockwise. The directions aren't very descriptive....mine never rattled even when I turned it counterclockwise all the way at the start as instructed. Suggestions?

I found the person before me use duct tape to fix it and i was pissed. I have it the same way as you now and it has been good for about a year now

Start off about 10 clicks clockwise and continue to tighten it until you see full boost and no flutter. You want it soft as possible without losing boost

So question: should I mess w/ my DV a little also? I've never tried turning it, but after installing my MBC it seems like I may be losing some.....just sounds like a small constant "pshhhhhhhhhhhhhh" until I completely dump it.

should be fine for your stock car until your chip is in. then you will need to move to the next spring and maybe a shim/washer

cincy, do you like the washer shim trick?

I'll have to cut the clamp to my DV to get the hose... I don't suppose I can zip-tie?

the hose on the DV usually just slides off and on even with the clamp on it. mine still has the factory clamp on it and I've pulled it quite a few times.
