FOUND IT!! Sorta...
45-Int. Monitor: -- KWP-1281
VAG-COM Works fine (note: This is tied in with 35-Central Locking so it may not work with pre-'97).

This was found searching audiworld (here) and I verified it on Ross-Tech (here). The "Sorta..." is because I have not tested this and it does not reference the TT model in the post or description. USE AT OWN RISK but if it works... Awesome! Any takers to test this?
