All it takes is one ride. I Love it.
It's so easy for rice tuners to talk crap on the TT. they do it all the time. They look at the numbers... and think they know what this car is about.
I for one... have proven quite a few wrong as of late.
I've got quite a few friends that are big into drifting, track racing etc.. They see the numbers and see the car and like to think they know all about the Audi TT. Well lately I've let a few of them drive my car. It is the friggin best feeling ever when someone that has repeatedly talked crap about your car gets behind the wheel and takes it for a drive... and then turns around and starts shopping for one. I have two friends in particular, on drives a 240 and the other a 350z. Both drove my car... and both are now on the market to buy a TT. Both of them agree that while it may not have the raw HP of the 350, supra, EVO etc... it completely blows them away in the way of driveability and style. My one friend is a big fan of Auto X... and he could NOT stop talking about the sheer pull my car had out of turns and the relentless "grab" to the road. Funny thing is... they've all "ridden" in the car. I guess you just don't know until you drive it.
Once again... all it takes is one drive.

Thats what happened to me it was a S2000, Crossfire, or the TT. I drove all of the cars and then walked away with the TT later that day! Nothing compares to it. I have a few friends one who has a STI with a GT40R and another friend with a EVO GT35R and they both love to take my car out instead of theirs. Even on the track, of course their turbos dont hardly have time to spool and in a straight line they would kill me but driving the car in Auto X its the TT hands down!
I went from a 240sx to a TT... I wasn't even in the market, I had just always admired the TT and after I drove it I bought on the spot when we arrived back at the dealer.
Likewise. I had just dropped my maxima off to have coilovers installed and walked across the street to the dealership to wait for a taxi. I let the guy think i was interested in buying a car so they didnt kick me out in the cold. I even let him make me go for a test drive to make it more convincing. I left with it later that day. haha
I went to carmax yesterday to look at getting a vette coming from my 350z and ended up test driving a tt just to **** my friend off try fitting a 6 4 guy in that cars back seat. And though I was gonna hate the car, but I absolutely loved it, and am getting one next week. :-)
ORIGINAL: 225tt
I dont think you can fit a 6'4" guy in the TT's back seat but hell who needs that anyways, just get the roadster!

I went from a bmw 740iL to a TT... Haha well, you cant compare cause the purpose of each is completely different.... however, straight track yes we all know the TT isnt the best... However, honestly what maybe once or twice people will go to a track a year verses driving a day to day car... The TT to me is just amazing in that it is a fun driving car. I bet however, the TT could take a lot of straight track cars on a circuit due to its amazing handling... Its true, it only takes one drive.
This reminds me of right before I bought my TT. I was at a Nissan dealer all set to test drive a 350Z. We took it out and I was totally unimpressed. Cheap plastic interior, and it wasn't nearly as quick as I thought it would be. They happened to have a used TT so after we dropped off the Z I took the TT out. I wasn't expecting much but figured since I was already there might as well test it out. After the first stop light I was sold. Tight, quick, and fun to drive!
