Electric system was totally dead when you came back or just wouldn't start?

electrical system was dead, wouldnt even click to start. i jumped the car with cables, worked and drove perfect. when i shut it off, it wouldnt turn on again.

so sounds like the battery right?

and is it easy to install or the audi can be tricky since it has the wires or fuse box on top of the battery?

sure sounds like the battery, and its easy to change, there is a hook type thing on the front of the piece with the wires after you take the cover off, you pull the front end up and the piece can be moved behind the battery.
