The issue withe the Radiator upgrade was for a 1.8T Golf but used a universal Fluidyne with twin fans. They mentioned though that all that was necessary was a welding of steel universal brackets to the unit. Other than that it seemed pretty much a bolt on except for the hoses, although stainless steel hoses cut to length are not to difficult, look really cool and never leak. Since welding and bumper removal was necessary it might be best to pony up for a shop to just do the work unless your good with a torch. Unfortunately welding and spray painting are impossible for me other than that I'm pretty handy.
Also a VW buddy of mine mentioned that it is common on VW Golfs and Jetta 1.8Ts and TT180s to upgrade to the 225TT radiator as it a bit larger (one of the many enhancements of the engine that include stronger internals)and supports well over 300hp without problems and is not too difficult to install and cheap. So until you go stage III stick with the stock unless your headin to the circuits. Also this means you might actually get resale on your old parts and how often does that happen?
i will most likely not get apr stage 3 as it might be cheaper and i'll get more hp if i customize a kit for it. apr stuff is really expensive..good, but expensive, yeah i will have to figure something out about that radiator issue as the stock one will not suffice when i'm around 400 hp
