Default Anybody heard of performancebrakes.com?

I just bought some performance slotted rotors from performance brakes. Apparently they make their rotors in house so they are some of the cheapest around. The front set for my 225 were only 144 with free shipping. Has anybody heard of this company? If not ill let you guys know how they work out!

I could see this contributing to being expensive unless they have a massive operation going on.

There are alot of places here in Southern California that offers slotted rotors & x-drilled aswell. They sell the whole set (all 4 rotors), along with complete brake pads for $250.00..

When you ask them who is manufacturer of rotor. They respond saying it's from a company called PowerSlot.com or Stoptech.com. But in actuality it's made from a company called OP Parts.

These guys what they do is they get a few ppl to advertise via web (i.e. Craig's List, Recycler). They will give you a link to a company that they are claiming the brakes/rotors come from. But that isn't true. Keep in mind this isn't just happening in Southern California.

More companies slot/drill what started as solid rotors, than make slotted/drilled rotors from the start. If they're not properly treated to remove stresses, it can lead to cracks, and worse-case, a rotor coming apart.

Beware the really good deals... unless you're SURE of what you're getting.

I paid $175 shipped when I bought Zimmerman's for the old TT. That was a deal, but zimmerman is a good name.

sorry guys its brakeperformance.com. They do actually have a pretty big operation well from the looks of it at least. They have rotors or brakes for every make and model since 1937 lol. They also have a lifetime warranty on any defects so i think im safe. also i only went with slotted bc i dont like the idea of the rotor being drilled all the way through.
