anyone know what this is or what it does?
so, in taking this out you will see peak boost from the time you hit peak until you let off the gas? if thats the case how come more people arent setting an mbc to 20psi and seeing the 20psi until they get off the gas?
my friend has a TDi vw golf ( I know poor sod ) but he fitted a tuner box and turned it up high now hes off the road "why" all the oil is stuck in the top end because the oil system wasn't designed for that type of performance ( think before you upgrade )
So it's the n249 valve? And when i pull it out of the loop... I can just connect the two hoses that were originally feeding into it?
that's what I did for the time being anyhow to get the car over to the shop down the street. Im having them pull the alternator to rebuild it and clean up a few things while Im gone. It seemed since those hoses were ultimately connected anyhow, my only option would be to just pull the valve out of the loop.

Your fine just pulling it out of the loop and connecting the 2 hoses. Some claim it wont throw a cel, some say it will. I would leave it out and wait and see.
I pulled it and connected them and didnt get a CEL. Then again I didnt get a CEL for my alternator fail either.
btw... they ran my alternator on the alternator test bench... and it is not making power.
