Anyone use a G timer before?
The gtech's from what i have read in a mag or 2 are rather close to accurate on both hp and 1/4/0-60 times. You can also do that with a vagcom instead of spending the same amount on a gtech unit
I had a vag for my 02 but I dont think they fit the new TTs so I guess either way I would have to buy one or they other and Im not sure how much a new vag would be. Im just really curious as to what Im running and all and would love to see where I stand.
GTech is kinda cool since it doesn't require carrying a full laptop with you to see the data. I had one with my DSM, I ran a 12.1 at the track and the GTech said it was 12.2. The g-force meter gets a bit old aftera while. The tourque and HP graphs can help you out with shift points if you haven't got them figured out already. A VAGCOM seems a more 'classy' way to go, if you will.
The power supply is bulky and ugly, I wanted to hook it up to a switch so I could retain the use of my outlet for charging MP3 player/phone/NAV... then myDSM gotbroken into and it got stolen. Along with my ECU. And my injectors. And my boost gauge.
The screen will get damaged if its left in direct sunlight. It'll change colors and get really dim in spots, so put it in the glove box when not in use. If it was cheaper I'd have another one
