I started out with the GIAC and it was a nice setup, but it was flashed with a 91 octane profile because I bought my car when I lived in Pasadena, CA where you can only get 91 oct premium. When I got my exhaust Chris Gigon of APR gave me an awesome price on a reflash of my ECU w/ 93 & 100 octane profiles as well as security code, lockout and throttle body reset. I like the APR more because of the ease of administering the setup via the cruise control stalk. The GIAC flashloader is a nice setup, but akward since you have to plug it into the OBD-III port. If you want to use the kill mode then you have to either carry the flashloader with you or leave it in the car which kind of defeats the purpose of a security setup.

Both are good setups. It really comes down to what you want. If you go GIAC don't forget to include the cost of the flashloader in your setup because unless you get only one program you won't be able to switch without it. I still have mine and it's in new condition. Anyone interested in it should PM me. They are at least $150 new (I bought mine in 06') maybe more now. I'd let mine go for $110 shipped.

invazn9o9... be sure to ask them for a test pipe file when they flash your ECU. If you plan on doing a 42DD downpipe and exhaust later with a high-flow cat you will need it or you will throw a P0420 low cat efficiency threshold CEL. You can fix it with a spacer (a couple of $$ for a anti foul spark plug tip) or just have the flash done right from the start and be done with it.
