Default Audi TT

Hey guys,

Picked up this car a while back. I do 95% of my own service and I want to keep up with the intervals on maintenance and know what to watch for. This isn't my first Audi, and I currently also service my 2000 Land Rover, 88 K1500 Chevy, and 2008 BMW 335xi.

I've already changed out the oil using Mobile-1 0-40 euro. The filter was kind of a pain in the butt, and it doesn't seem like these engines have much oil capacity?

At what point should I do the timing belt? Anything else I should monitor and inspect?

Thanks

along with the Timing belt (TB) you need to watch the water pump. Not 100% sure on the '06 models but they use plastic blades in the water pump and they can fail and cause problems . But around 60K you should change the water pump and TB . could even do it earlier to avoid problems .
if the TB breaks or fails.. you will be rebuilding the top end of your motor .

$2500 later in my 2000 A4 I found out what happens when the timing belt fails the hard way!
