Hey guys just wanted to throw this question out there.... whats the most effecient and best way to gain power on a audi TT 1.8T, for under two grand. What do you guys recommend?

ECU upgrade, and A 3" downpipe. should be under $1300.

he is correct, also boost controller, and turbo hoses. should bring you to about 2g's

Chip, mbc, tbe, and wmi will put you about $2k. Plus the more lbs you lose the better. My car is about 2800lbs now with me still needing new wheels and needing to remove the rear seats

does the water meth do anything bad to the engine long term?

Cincy, are you saying this based on a 180 with a ebay dp and exhaust? Wouldnt it cost a good amount more for a 225 dp and exhaust, enough to easily put that total over 2k?

It actually does it good. The water actually steam cleans the cyl so no carbon build up in the cyl, pistons, or valves.

Believe the OP has an 180q. If you have a fwd, the should free up another $300+ for other stuff like a new dv and something else.

It can be done with a 225 if you get a catback made which should be in the $300-400 range
