Audi TT Quattro over heating issues
Help!!!
I have an audi tt quattro 2003... Got caught in traffic engine starting over heating and the external water(coolant) pump broke at the hose connection.
Replaced the external water(coolant) pump flushed the entire system and filled it back with the G12 coolant.
Bled the system out worked fine.
Went for a drive car starts over heating.
Replaced the thermostat with an OEM one. same thing.
Replaced the water pump and the timing belt...since I was there..and same thing. Engine over heats when driving in the highway.
Who i pull over the I rev the engine to about 4500 rpm and you can see the temperature reading from the
"temp read out on the 49C test" start to come down.
the engine fans work.....
the heater in the car works but as soon as the temp starts rising it start shooting out cold air.
so to re-cap
....system has been completely flushed
....system is bled out.
....thermostat replaced
....water pump replaced
....coolant G12 added
any ideas or fixes???
Please Help

Are you sure both high and low speed fans are working? If your car often overheats in heavy traffic, at low speeds or when stopped at a traffic light, it could be that the low speed fan isn't turning on when it's supposed to. And if you had major coolant leaks at the water pump, coolant may have gotten onto the fan control unit or the connection leading from it to the radiator.
Check your fuses, then check the fan control unit and its connection to the radiator. Just jack your car up, get it running, pull the connection from the radiator and short all three sockets in the plug to each other. 1-2, 1-3 and 2-3. If your fans only turn on during one of the shorts, then it's probably the module. If both high/low speed fans turn on at some point, then I'm not sure what the problem could be.
