so i came into work 5 minutes late this morning and was told by my co-worker who thought it was me in that wreck on highway 121

An Audi slid under an 18-wheeler during a collision early Friday morning, killing the car's driver, police said.
An 18-wheeler was traveling north on Highway 121 and attempting to make a left turn onto Freeport Parkway when it collided with the Audi, police said.
The Audi slid under the truck, said Grapevine police Sgt. Kim Smith. “It basically severed the top of the vehicle,” Sgt. Smith said.
Travis Masters, 19, of Coppell, died at the scene, the Dallas County medical examiner's office said.
The truck driver was not injured.

I looked up the intersection on live maps... I've been by there more thana dozen times going up to grapevine golf course. Either the TT ran a red or the truck did, but damn it just means that it could happen to anyone at anytime.

That's terrible. Apparently he went to school here at Oklahoma State but I don't think I ever saw him or his car.

If it were anyone else, I wouldn't believe it. Seeing it was Red, I wasn't surprised.

 

I know you are just a kid, but this ain't a subject you want to make a joke with. When you get older you will understand.

 

I wish some "people" would show some respect for death of otherpeople. This was a sad day for his family and fellow TT'er. Any more disrespect will result in this thread seeing the block hole and possible banning!

yeh thats very sad... guy was the same age as me. that was the one biggest downsides to the TT, other drivers always seemed to not see you. the exact same thing happened to me, a lady in a volvo SUV was making a left turn out of a burger king and didn't see me comming. It was the closest near accident I've ever had, ended up turning the car sideways and slid exactly parallel to her car when I stopped, my mirror was actually inches from the side of her car
