AWE guage... cant find something..
I went through all the boost gauge threads and i cant seem to find an answer to my question...
I got the AWE boost gauge and i really want to mount it in the left center vent... do i need any extra suppplies such as longer vacuum hose to get it there?? because im pretty sure they send you materials for a far left vent install... thanks

Straight from AWE's website:
The kit can be installed in the left or either of the two center vent locations, ensuring maximum visibility. The gauge reads from 0-25 psi of boost and 30-0 in/hg of vacuum.
This kit includes a complete vent pod, an anodized aluminum bezel for the gauge, all electrical and tubing hookups, and a detailed install sheet. Installation is easy and takes roughly 1.5 hours.

yea... most gauges come with an enormous length of vac tubing. you may need some extra electrical wire if it is backlit. mine came with about 6 inches of wire which was enough to mount it to my fusebox I guess lol.
I ended up cutting off about 4-6 ft of tubing that i didnt need when i mounted mine.

oh alright, i guess i just misunderstood... i forgot what i read but it said something along the lines of left vent...thanks guys for picking up for my dumbness[:@]
hmmm ok ill go get a little more vac hose.... its not expensive anyways... any pointers though for the center install vs the far left??? like is anything different than the install instructions given by AWE?
The downside to using center vents is the amount of work required. The left vent only really requires removal of the vent and dropping the lower dash. Center vents will include the above along with removal of the radio and probably removal of the buttons up there as well. If you put it in your left vent, you can connect the electrical to the dimmer switch on your headlights and you not only get a fused connection, but also a dimming one as well. That's the route I took and it worked really well.

How else do you plan on routing hose?
Regardless of whether you remove the radio or the cluster, it's still an extra step and something else to F up. I personally don't like the sound of "goofy" clips. Just sounds like something else that could snap off.
..and yeah, if you mount it in the center, you could run a wire to the dimmer switch, but if your kit only comes with 6" of wire as mentioned above, it's a more convenient option.
