Hi, I'm in the market for the first generation TT coupe, and had a noob question. I read a lot of reviews about how the rear seats are completely useless but others said a small child could fit there.

I was wondering if a 5' 2" - 5' 5" person could fit into the back seat at all?

My GF is 5'4 and she had to put here legs up on the bench to be "comfortable" back there. It really depends on the driver or passengers legs. If either need the set up, there should be enough space for a ~5' person to sit there.

 

It actually states in the manual not to put anyone in the backseat who is taller than 4'11" and they're not kidding. It is a useless backseat.

 

Those people in the pic inside the hatch are WAY taller than 4'11 LOL

 

I have fit two 5'9 guys in he back and a 6'5 guy in the passengers seat. its not comfortable at all but they were ok on a 20min drive. So if you have to people can fit back there. The complaining might get too you though.

 

when I was test driving, I made the car dealers sit in the back seat. Lmao!

yeah i'm 5''4 on a good day and i have a 08 TT and if i ever sit in my back so my friends who are much taller then me can ride in it/im too lazy to drive i cant fit for the life of me. i have to practically lie down and hope that we dont go over any bumps because if we do my head hits!

its def. a 2 seater car!

 

Does the 8N have the same rear dimensions as the 8J?

 

Well, I have a 180, and I've managed to fit three other people into the car with me. A 5'11"-6'0" guy in the front seat, and two girls about 5'0" - 5'2" high each in the back seats. It wasn't the most comfortable trip for them, but their feet were on the ground, and they had their seatbelts on.
