Default better sound

Would a 3" dp like from 42dd make much of a louder and lower sound or would you need to also get an aftermarket exhaust to do that?

No it would not make much of a louder sound. If you would want a deeper sound the your best bet is to go catback.

hey guys, figured id introduce myself sooner than later. Ive just recently bought my 01 tt225, and have taken a lot of knowledge from these forums and put it to good use with cel's and such that have already occurred. On this topic, ive been thinking of the resonator delete and a catless 42dd dp until i have the money for a catback... dont want to wait to have a little bark to the exhaust.. how does the stock cat-back sound minus the resonator? i remember reading something a while ago on the topic but never followed up on it.

A 42DD d/p test pipe & milltek is quite loud & sounds brutal on the acceleration. I'm thinking for selling the milltek & making straight pipes.
