Default Black plastic "plug" lying under car????

2002 TT 225 - pulled out of the garage the other day and noticed this black plastic plus laying on the floor of the garage under where I park. It is black plastic, about 1" diameter and 1" tall (see attached image file). It clearly pushes up into a hole and locks in place. Any ideas on where this might have come from would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

maybe drain plug under spare tire? Not sure if your car has one but many do.

There is an inspection hole (cant find the thread/pic) and it came from there most likely. Most dont notice they are missing it until they do a clutch swap

How bad is it if this plug is missing? I realized last week I was missing it on my car.
Anyone know a part number for this plug?

Think its good to have, but not horrible to not. I would bet that most older cars dont have it and will never notice its gone.
