Default boost

so i put in a boost gaugelast weeekend ( pictures coming soon) and as far as i know my car's ecu isstock. i usually stay around 10 or 12 psi but if i get on it i can get it up to 15 and have hit 18 a cupple of times. i was just wondering if this is a spike in boost or something i should be worried about?

sounds like chipped to me. you wouldnt get to 18psi with a n75, maybe 12-14psi, but never over 1bar

I would think 18psi on a stock ecu would def = limp mode.

maybe there is a leak somewhere keeping you close to stock boost most of the time. ??

Could be chipped, or you could have a crappy gauge (just saying), does it just flash up to 18 or does it kinda hold and then slowly fall off?

its a stewart warner gauge it seems like it is good quality, it only hit 18 a cupple times and would stay for a second and go down to 10 or 12 psi.

just watch it a couple of days since it seems low for a chip and to high for stock. Give it a vary of conditions and see what happens. BTW, where did you tap in the gauage at?
