Boost Gauge
Anyone got any recommendations on boost gauges? I'm looking to install it in a vent using one of modshack's adapters, but want it to match the stock gauges as much as possible. Anyone know of one that looks fairly close?
the awe's match the stock ones the best. I used a $34 autometer gauge from a local speedshop that shows vaccum and boost. I will soon add a different LED to it so the illumination matches stock. I mounted it in the vent ring without using the modshack thingy (i like living on the edge). Its not as defined as the modshack job, but mine looks like it is floating in the vent ring.
I used some threaded allenhead scews (measured the distance, dremel tooled the heads off, and added a slot on one end so i could still turn it via screwdriver) and drilled 3 holes into the ring. from there, they all tighten around the gauge and hold it solidly in place. I am not super mechanically inclined, so i was worried i was going to mess something up. This was a super easy mod.

the allen screws i used were 20 or 24 threads. they were spares from one of my autococker paintball guns. it grabbed enough threads to hold and it wont back out because the housing for the vent ring holds it firmly in place. i wiggled on it pretty good, and it seems solid enough.
If I had to do it again, i might try for 4 screws, but honestly... its a pain lining up 4 screws, instead of 3

Is it true that the gauge pod needs a 60mm gauge not the 58mm??? what is the difference between the

AWE tuning is the way to go matches perfect... i moved mine from the left vent to the left vent in the center....i can see it much better now.....if you do go with AWE tuning make sure to get extra vac silicon tube as the one in the kit isnt long enough to go in the center...same with the hook-up wire.

seems easier to me and already matches everything
