Default boost gauge in... here's what i made.

finally got my boost gauge in and since i have a hard time paying thirty bucks for a metal ring to mount it, i made my own. i still need to find a way to cover it.

Nice.

An easy fix for a stupid problem (not having a clean place for a guage w/o spending a crapload of money)

sorry, its hard for me to tell from the picture, but will the foam block the airflow? and if so, why not go with the next size up gauge that would fill the whole vent opening? to retain the aluminum trim? just curious...

yes it does block the air flow. this was a gauge that i had already purchased with the intention of buying a mounting ring online but i got tired of not having it in my car so i decided to go ahead and make something. works pretty well for free.

i say if your trying to make it look clean and not the styrofoam... buy a little square of plastic or something (like a black or silver color) and cut it to the same size and glue it right on to the styrofoam.

sorry i cant spell styrofoam

Wait![sm=icon_beat.gif] You're too cheap to spend $30 and do it youself, but $270 is OK?

"getting hooked up" usually means free or extremely cheap

the key phrase being "hooked up"- meaning "i'm getting it for free". next time i'll supply a link to the urban dictionary or maybe wikipedia so youdon'tget confused. i'm also available to help with any big words that you are having trouble with. that is all.

sorryicouldn't help myself cincy. if it's too much you can delete it.
