Default Boost gauge install.

Hi all,

I installed a boost gaude in my center left vent.
I didn't go with the usual vent ring, decided to do something different.
I made the ring myself out of aluminum, with eight holes (tt design) around the gauge.

Just checking if my stats are right:
Vac: 17-20 when engine is warm.
Boost: spikes at 15-16, holds at 13-14.

for some reason I spiked 17 right after i installed it, but not anymore,
Does the ecu adapt to the increased volume in the vac system or something?

anyway: some pics.

That looks pretty cool.

vac and boost sound about right, theres so little change in the system adding a gauge theres no way the car is adapting anything to it, you can get the car to boost more though in certain conditions. Its just how it works.

Theres a hill nearby that I could get an extra 3-4psi from the car if I stepped on it from about 45mph in 4th or 5th gear (5 speed), woudn't happen anywhere else.

That looks pretty good I must say.

Some 225 owners that have bad boost leaks wont see above 18lbs...or if they dont have a boost controller...it will spike to 18 and fall to 15. Not for me, 22lbs all day long well until it starts to get hot.
