Boost Guage confusion??!!
I was just talking with someone else about this not to long ago, he was still using stock plugs. Go to a heat range colder plug (7) and gapped to .028 and it should go away
After I got my car back it took a little bit to get it set just right.
I had to turn the fine setting all the way down, and pretty much start over again with the course setting.
They had me set at 9 psi... I understand how frustrating it is, but perseverance will pay off!
By the way I do have colder plugs gapped down to .028.
The plugs did not make a difference when it came to dialing in the boost.
Do you have vag-com?
How are you clearing the CELS?

In the past when I have had the epc light come on, it was related to a throttle body problem. It can also indicate a non-emissions related problem. Emission problems turn on the check engine light.
well I think I'm going to bring it to a shop that only works on European cars. They should have vagcom.
And by the way my check engine goes away after its been on for a while. I cant drive my car for long before my epc comes on and no throttle, which its like every 2 mins and right before 8-10 psi. [:@]

SmoothTT you live in northern jersey right?
If you ever need a hand send me a PM. Typically I'm up in NY every other weekend anyway.
Everything that you are describing is exactly the same that happened to my car.
I do have a full version of vag-com, and the repair manual.
Turn the ignition into the on position.
Do not start the car, and do not touch the gas pedal.
Leave the car in the on position for about 2 minutes.
You'll hear the TB realigning.
Then you're done.
Jetta this isn't just the EPC light there is also an over boost code.
I've replaced so many different parts trying to fix the problem. From Throttle positioning sensor, PCV parts, IAT sensor, MAF...
All to no avail. To date the only one that works is a MBC.
