Default bose audio w/sub

hey everybody im new to the af and finding a lot of useful info . Im wondering if there is another way of installing a sub other thanwith a high to low converter to the rears . I have a 2001 tt 225 w/bose thanks for any info.

depends... are you looking for an aftermarket sub or a factory sub?

hmm alright, well im not 100% sure about the high to low converters ----

That's what I run, spliced off the right rear speaker, sounds awesome.

The "high-low" converter, is actually reffered to as a "Line out" converter:

The SLOCII will be more expensive, but definately worth the money! I've worked in the car audio industry for about 3 years, and you can tell the difference between a cheap LOC and a good one.

Also, try to get an amp with an external volume control, or the PRC1

that way, you will have a way to control the volume of the sub from the cab at anytime, instead of having to adjust the level at the amp.

Good deal. I know this isn't the FS board, but if you're interested, I have a Sony XM-SD61X amp NIB that would work great with a Type-R and has a level-control, and LOC built in (even though you just bought an SLOCII...).
